Explore the south of Albania on a 2-day tour from Tirana or Durres. Visit Gjirokaster Castle, the Old Bazaar, and the Blue Eye. Go river rafting on the Vjosa River, enjoy lunch in Permet, and relax in the Benja thermal waters.
Start with a hotel pick-up and a 3-hour drive to Gjirokaster, known as the stone city. Stop for a coffee on the way. Visit Gjirokaster Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich history dating back to the 12th century.
Head to the Old Bazaar, lined with traditional stone houses and filled with vibrant shops selling handmade crafts, textiles, and local delicacies. Continue to the Blue Eye, a natural spring surrounded by lush greenery and rocky terrain.
Arrive in Saranda and check into your apartment. Get tips on how to spend your afternoon and where to have the best dinner. The next morning, wake up with an early pick-up and breakfast. Say goodbye to Saranda and set off on your adventure along the Vjosa River.
Splash through the rushing water and feel the rush of adrenaline as you navigate the flowing currents in Europa’s last wild river. Get equipped with all your gear including a neoprene suit, life jacket, thermal sweatshirt, and helmet.
After the river rafting, hop back on the 4×4 to head to Permet to enjoy lunch in the middle of the cleanest city of Albania and meet with the amazing local culture. Drive through the river in style in the big 4×4 and relax in the Benja thermal waters and wait for the bold, brilliant, and rich in color sunset seen from there.
Finally, take a nap while the well-trained and safe drivers drop you off at your hotel in Tirana.
