Explore the ancient city of Apollonia and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Berat on a full-day tour from Vlora. Take a peaceful walk in the Divjake-Karavasta National Park and enjoy a traditional Albanian lunch in Berat.
Start the day early with breakfast in Vlora. Depart from Vlora towards Apollonia. The trip takes about 1 hour. Arrive at Apollonia, one of Albania’s most important ancient cities. Explore the archaeological site, including the ruins of the ancient theater, temples, and the stoic portico. Visit the Church of Saint Mary and the Apollonia museum to learn more about the site’s history.
Travel to Divjake-Karavasta National Park. The journey usually takes about 1 hour. Take a peaceful walk in the unmatched nature of the park. You can explore wooded areas or visit the Karavasta Lagoon, home to the Dalmatian pelican.
Head towards Berat. This journey takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes, taking you through beautiful landscapes of central Albania. Arrive in Berat, famously known as the “City of a Thousand Windows” and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Visit the Berat Castle, where you can stroll through medieval alleyways and see small churches and museums. Walk through the characteristic neighborhoods of Mangalem and Gorica, and don’t miss the Cathedral of Saint Mary at the National Iconographic Museum “Onufri.”
Enjoy a lunch featuring traditional Albanian dishes at a local restaurant in Berat. Start the journey back to Vlora. The trip is expected to take around 2 hours. Arrive back in Vlora. End the day with a light dinner at one of the city’s restaurants, relaxing after a day filled with experiences and beautiful sights.
